A woman who fell from a building in central Wellington building has died.
The woman, in her early 20s, was taken to hospital in a critical condition on Friday after falling nearly three storeys from an apartment block on Bute Street.
She was operated on in Wellington Hospital.
A spokesperson said she died in the intensive care unit on Tuesday morning.
Wellington police said on Friday it appeared the woman had been trying to gain access to a flat and fell accidentally.
