Two people have been arrested over the theft of a charity donation box from a service station in Hastings.

On Tuesday, police released footage of the theft earlier in January showing two people in the service station at the time clearly.

The donation box was for Riding for the Disabled.

Two men, aged 20 and 28, are due to appear in Hastings District Court on Wednesday on theft and other unrelated charges.

Police say they are grateful to the public for help in the case.
