Police say they have located a man alleged to have tried to hug or kiss women in the Port Hills area of Christchurch.
Detective Constable Fiona Croft says officers visited a Christchurch property on Wednesday afternoon acting on information received from a member of the public.
Ms Croft said no decision has been made about whether charges will be laid and the investigation is continuing.
She said over the past two days police have received several reports from women who were approached near the Rapaki and Mount Vernon tracks and some incidents dated back several months.
