Father charged over fatal quad bike crash

The driver of a quad bike that crashed in Hawke's Bay injuring four people, including his six-year-old daughter, has been charged with drink-driving causing injury.

Four adults and child were riding the quad bike when it crashed in Waimarama in early January.

Ashlee Shorrock, 6, suffered serious head, face, neck, spine and back injuries and remains in a rehabilitation centre in Auckland.

Her father, Daniel McGregor, has been charged with four counts of drink-driving causing injury, reckless driving, cultivating and possessing cannabis, and possessing utensils.

He will appear in Hastings District Court on 19 February.
