Gale force winds are forecast for parts of New Zealand on Tuesday.
MetService says a cold front will affect eastern parts of the lower North Island, Banks Peninsula and Marlborough.
Winds gusting up to 120km/h could strike south of Woodville from about 6pm.
In Marlborough, northwest wind gusts may reach severe gale force from Tuesday afternoon.
Winds are forecast to hit Hawke's Bay from 9pm, arriving in Banks Peninsula from about 2am on Wednesday.
Wind gusts are also forecast for Otago and Southland.
