Fresh charges have been laid against a Wellington man accused of being involved with a cache of drugs found at Auckland Airport.
Anthony Brian Newton appeared in the Wellington District Court on Wednesday on several charges, including importing methamphetamine into New Zealand and being part of a conspiracy to import the drug.
Mr Newton was remanded in custody to reappear in February.
His co-accused Dinesh Manoharan, who is facing similar charges, is due to reappear in court in March.
