The Law Society is launching a new system of resolving complaints against lawyers which it hopes will mean disputes can be settled more quickly.
The early resolution service will mean some people can choose to have complaints mediated by a negotiator, rather than use a formal process.
Executive director Christine Grice said a trial showed many disputes could be resolved within 30 days using the new service, and she expects many people will prefer it.
