A man stuck on a ledge in a remote spot on Wairarapa's south coast has been rescued on Saturday.
The man, in his 20s, called 111 on his cellphone after trying to climb to a lookout.
He was able to direct a rescue helicopter to where he was.
A paramedic was lowered from the helicopter to rescue the man, who was uninjured.
