Name suppression is still in place for a Porirua man charged with a prolonged and serious assault on a woman.
The man, 23, appeared again in Porirua District Court on Tuesday on charges of attempted murder and sexual violation.
The charges arose from an incident at 9am on 10 February when a woman, aged 54, was attacked in broad daylight.
Psychiatric reports have been called for, but lawyer told Judge John Walker they will not be ready for another three to four weeks.
The accused was remanded in custody to appear again in court on 19 March.
The issue of name suppression will be discussed again in Court next week.
