Missing woman's family appeals for information

6:28 pm on 24 March 2009

The family of Christchurch woman Tisha Lowry who has been missing for six months has made an emotional plea for information.

Ms Lowry was last seen at the Bower Tavern in north New Brighton on 25 September.

Her mother, Tania, says the last six months have taken their toll and has urged anyone with information to come forward,

Tisha Lowry's sister, Leanne Hodder, says her sister is never far from her thoughts.

The family has found events such as Tisha's birthday and Christmas hard to cope with and their own lives have suffered.

Members of the family say they have had no closure because they do not know what has happened - a concern shared by police.

Detective Senior Sergeant Virginia Le Bas says police have interviewed numerous people but have not been able to establish, factually, that any were involved in Miss Lowry's disappearance.

She says police are revisiting people they have previously interviewed in the hope someone can help the inquiry move ahead.
