APN New Zealand Media is selling four community newspapers in Wellington to an independent publisher.
Les Whiteside, owner of the Blenheim Sun, a twice-weekly community newspaper, has bought the titles.
APN said the majority of the group's 15 staff will be offered employment by the new owner which will trade under the name Wellington Suburban Newspapers Ltd.
