The ambulance service says three people have been taken to hospital following two separate car accidents in Palmerston North on Thursday.
The first involved two cars colliding on Milson Line in Newbury about 7pm.
A man is in a critical condition in Palmerston North Hospital and a woman is in a serious condition.
A boy has also been taken to hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a car in the Square about 7.20pm
