A 57-year-old man has died after falling in a tree top adventure park north-west of Auckland.
Police say the man was taking part in a team building day with work colleagues at the high ropes course at Tree Adventures, in Woodhill Forest near Kumeu.
A doctor and paramedic who were on another course at the time of the fall rushed to help the man, but he died at the scene.
Health and safety inspectors are investigating the fall and victim support have been brought in to help the man's family and work colleagues.
Imogene Pyne was at the park with a children's birthday party when she saw the fall happen.
She says she heard screaming and looked around and saw a man falling.
Ms Pyne says her party had raised concerns with staff about how over-crowded the facility seemed to them during the afternoon.
Tree Adventures is not making a statement at this stage.
