A woman charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Nelson has been remanded to a mental health unit.
Three people were involved in the altercation on Sunday, which resulted in a man's death from stab wounds.
A woman who was also stabbed remains in a stable condition in intensive care at Nelson Hospital.
The third person, a woman in her 50s, was treated for superficial injuries and taken into custody.
Police have indicated that further charges may be laid.
