DHB jobs to go

9:31 am on 9 March 2013

A number of job losses are expected from a management rejig at the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa District Health Boards.

The boards are amalgamating their senior management under a plan, that also involves Capital & Coast DHB, to streamline and improve health services throughout the region.

Hutt Valley and Wairarapa chief executive Graham Dyer said 41 jobs will be disestablished when one management team is put in place between the two boards.

He said 25 new positions will be created and it won't be clear just how many jobs will go until an interview and appointment process is completed in early April.
