Electricity has been restored to more than 1000 households and businesses in the Wellington suburb of Newtown after a late night power cut.
Wellington Electricity says power went off about 10pm on Friday and was restored to the last of the customers about 12.30am on Saturday.
The company suspected an underground cable fault caused the outage.
