A man has appeared in court in Auckland accused of kidnapping two women, a sex attack, and a string of armed robberies.
Sumit Narayan,35, is charged with 14 offences alleged to have taken place in the late 1990s.
At the Auckland District Court on Wednesday he pleaded not guilty to robbing a 20-year-old woman while armed with a stun gun, violating her and indecently assaulting her.
Mr Narayan denies robbing two men at knifepoint and taking their car, then on the same day kidnapping two women and robbing them.
He also pleaded not guilty to three other robberies using a stun gun.
Mr Narayan was remanded in custody until next month.
