The police say that witnesses to a major crash during a police pursuit involving four teenagers may hold crucial information about the incident.
Officers chased the 16 and 17 year olds in the vehicle for less than a minute, when the driver lost control on a bend and crashed into a concrete block fence in Kohimarama on 3 March.
The police are urging three drivers who were overtaken by the fleeing vehicle and the police patrol car to contact them.
They also want to speak to a driver who let the cars pass during the pursuit, who they believe will be a key witness.
The police say three of the four teens are in a stable condition, but will be in hospital for some time.
