Three people have died in a two-car crash south of Helensville, one of them a baby.
The others who died in the crash were the female driver of one of the cars and an 11-year-old boy, who was a front-seat passenger.
A six-year-old girl from the same car and a man who was in another car have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
State Highway 16 between Helensville and Kiwitahi Road was closed for some hours.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
