A truck carrying thousands of litres of glue has crashed on State Highway 1, south of Whangarei, spilling some of its load.
Police, fire, and road contractors are at Maungakaramea-Mangapai Road area trying to clear the mess early on Friday morning.
Police say it could be some hours before the road re-opens.
