A man is in hospital after being hit by an ambulance in South Auckland.
Police say the man was struck after running into the path of the ambulance on Browns Road in Manurewa at 1.50am on Friday.
The ambulance, which was responding to a call at the time, stopped and provided assistance.
The man is in a stable condition in hospital.
Police are investigating the incident.
