The All Whites have beaten New Caledonia 2-1 in Dunedin to qualify for November's intercontinental play-offs for next year's world cup in Brazil.
Tommy Smith scored the winning goal with a header in the 94th minute.
Next Tuesday the All Whites will play against the Soloman Islands in Honiara.
