An Auckland woman and her husband have been killed in Canada and their son has been charged with murder.
Toronto police say Shirley Zhou and her husband, Ji or George Jia, died over the weekend in the city.
Emergency services were called to the couple's home in Boulevard where they found the bodies of Ms Zhou, 51, and Mr Jia, aged 59, on 30 March.
The University of Auckland said on Friday Ms Zhou has been employed as a computer operator since 2004 and was on an extended holiday.
It says it is deeply saddened by her death and staff are receiving support.
The couple's son, Li Tian Jia, 26, will appear in court on Saturday (local time).
