The police have closed part of Dominion Road in Auckland after a teenager was hit by a car that did not stop, on Saturday evening.
The accident happened just before 6pm and the teenager was seriously injured.
Police are appealing for witnesses. They have closed Dominion Road between Ewington and Bellwood Avenues while the Serious Crash Unit investigates.
