Police want anyone who has seen a man missing in South Auckland since Tuesday morning to contact them immediately.
They say Hateni Taufa, who is 78 and of Tongan descent, is showing signs of early dementia.
Mr Taufa recently moved from Otara to Otahuhu, where he was last seen, and may not be familiar with the area.
He was wearing a brown zip-up jacket with navy blue sleeves, brown trousers and black Puma shoes.
