Fire broke out at a service station in Riverhead, north-west of Auckland, on Saturday night.
The Fire Service says it got a call to the Z Energy station on the Coatesville-Riverhead Highway at 9.10pm.
It says that when firefighters arrived the station - which had closed at 8pm - was filled with smoke and entry had to be forced.
