Petrol companies cut retail price of petrol

5:56 pm on 30 April 2009

Petroleum companies cut the price of petrol by 5 cents a litre on Thursday.

Most Shell, BP. Mobil and Caltex stations are now charging 153.9c per litre of petrol.

The companies say the price drop is due to a decrease in the cost of refined petrol products internationally.

There has been no change to the price of diesel.
