Police in Taranaki searched the home of a suspect in the killing of a roadworker on Thursday.
George Taiaroa, 67, was shot on 19 March on Tram Road in the Kinleith forest while manning a stop-go sign at a bridge near Atiamuri, south-east of Tokoroa.
A number of officers searched a house in Ohura Road, in the Taranaki settlement of Whangamomona.
A police spokesperson refused to confirm if it the same house was searched in April, but said it is one of a number of properties of interest.
Police earlier said they have a main suspect in the case and are getting closer to working on a motive.
