Auckland police are asking for sightings of a man they believe may be linked to two rapes.
Ngarahupi Kaka had been living in Mt Roskill, but is known to frequent backpacker hostels.
Police say there are warrants out for his arrest for breaching protection orders, breaching court release conditions and failure to answer to bail.
The 39-year-old has contacts in Auckland and Dannevirke, but could be travelling to Wellington.
Police say Mr Kaka is Maori, thin, about 1.8m tall and has long hair often worn in a ponytail.
They say he is dangerous and should not be approached.
