The Highlanders have finally won their first game of the Super Rugby season, following eight consecutive losses.
They defeated the Sharks from South Africa 25-22 at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on Saturday night.
Colin Slade, Aaron Smith and Shaun Treeby scored tries; Slade converted two of them and kicked two penalties. The Sharks also scored three tries.
