All Blacks ditch 'unlucky' silver strip

The All Blacks have ditched their silver alternative strip and will be using an all white jersey instead.

The new strip, unveiled on Monday, will be used when the All Blacks are playing outside New Zealand and there is a clash in colour of jerseys.

The All Blacks will wear the new strip for the first time against France in Marseilles in November during the All Blacks' end of year tour.

The silver strip was controversial and had an aura of bad luck about it, the All Blacks wore it during their failed bid to win the 2007 World Cup.

The new jersey, along with the traditional black jersey, will feature fern pattern wash across the front.
