A man is in a critical condition following a crash near Morrinsville.
Police were called out just after 3am on Sunday after a car crashed into a tree on the corner of Horrell Road and Manhire Road in Te Puninga.
An ambulance spokesperson said the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
