Support for the National Party has increased in the latest Roy Morgan opinion poll, but has gone down for the Government's support partners.

National is polling five points higher at 55%, taking support from almost all other parties.

Support for the Maori Party has fallen 1.5 points to 2%, and the ACT Party is down by half a percentage point to 2%.

Labour Party support is down two points to 30.5%, and the Green Party has dropped 1.5 percentage points to 7%.

Jim Anderton's Progressive Party was the only party other than National to see a rise in support, from zero to 0.5%.

The poll surveyed 894 people and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points.
