Northland police are looking for a man who assaulted a teenage girl in her Ruakaka home.
They say the man, in his 30s, pushed his way into the house after the 15-year-old girl answered the door.
Police say the man tried to sexually assault her, before being disturbed and running off.
The attack happened at 9.45am on Wednesday and the man was last seen heading on to Marsden Point Road.
Officers want anyone who saw a Maori man, of medium build with bushy eyebrows - and wearing a black beanie, a black long sleeve t-shirt, black pants and boots - to contact them.
