The funeral of Napier gunman Jan Molenaar has been held in Hastings.
Police found his body in his Chaucer Rd house on Saturday morning, following a two-day siege which claimed the life of Senior Constable Len Snee, 53.
Two officers and a civilian remain in hospital recovering from gunshot wounds received when a search warrant was executed at Molenaar's home.
A post-mortem examination found that Molenaar, 51, died from a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
His body had been lying at Ruahapia Marae and was taken to a Hastings funeral home where a service was held on Friday morning.
Senior Constable Grant Diver, 50 and resident Leonard Holmwood, 44, remain in a stable condition at Hawke's Bay hospital.
