Police in Napier have completed their scene examination of gunman Jan Molenaar's property.

Police besieged the Chaucer Road property for two days earlier in May after an officer was fatally shot and two other officers and a civilian man seriously wounded.

Molenaar, 51, was later found dead in his home following the 50-hour siege.

Police say the property has been handed back to Molenaar's family.

Following the scene examination and other investigations, a Napier woman, 43, has been charged with selling cannabis, offering to sell cannabis and possession of cannabis for supply.

She is due to appear in Napier District Court on 27 May.
