Two police officers wounded in the Napier shooting earlier this month are now out of hospital.

Senior Constable Len Snee, 53, was killed in the incident on May 7 which set off a siege that ended with the death of gunman Jan Molenaar.

The two other officers, Senior Constable Bruce Millar, 40, and Senior Constable Grant Driver, 50, have now recovered enough to be discharged from Hawke's Bay hospital.

Leonard Holmwood, a civilian who went to their aid, remains in hospital in a stable condition.
