Wellington City Council has taken a step back from overseeing a landslip in the suburb of Kingston to let the Earthquake Commission take charge.
Two properties remain no-go zones after the landslip forced residents from their homes on 1 June this year.
The council, engineers and EQC representatives met residents on Wednesday night.
Mayor Celia Wade-Brown said the meeting was to remind residents they still have the council's full support despite it no longer taking a leading role in assessments.
Investigations are continuing to find the cause of the slip.
