4:07 pm on 23 June 2013

A worker in a dairy suffered injuries to her face when she was attacked by two armed thieves in a shop in Auckland.

The two female robbers, one armed with a small gun, attacked the female worker in the dairy on Puhinui Road in Papatoetoe just before 2.30pm on Sunday.

They demanded money before punching her in the face.

Customers in the shop held one of the robbers until the police arrived and arrested her.

The other robber, carrying the gun, ran off and is still at large.

The Ambulance Service says the shop worker did not require hospital treatment.
