Lundy to appeal convictions for murdering wife, daughter

3:42 pm on 18 June 2009

Convicted double killer Mark Lundy plans to appeal against his convictions.

His lawyer expects to file notice of the appeal soon.

Lundy was found guilty in March 2002 of killing his wife Christine and seven-year-old daughter Amber in the family home in August 2000.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum non-parole period of 20 years.

In January this year a group of Lundy's supporters set up a fund to appeal the convictions.

His lawyer, Christopher Stevenson, says he's waiting for further expert advice before going ahead with an appeal.
