Jetstar's new domestic service comes under fire

6:11 pm on 21 June 2009

Passengers say the low cost airline Jetstar is still suffering teething problems with its new domestic service.

One customer, Michael Earley, says he and several other passengers were prevented from checking in for an Auckland to Wellington flight on Saturday evening.

A Jetstar spokesperson says the group arrived much too late to board the flight.

Mr Earley says that's untrue and a passenger in the queue behind his group was allowed to check in.

He says his group told staff, at the time, that they were also travelling to Wellington, but were not permitted to check in.

Mr Earley says the staff were rude and unhelpful.

A Jetstar spokesperson says the airline rejects Mr Earley's version of events.
