Seven men have been arrested in relation to a series of assaults in Horowhenua, which police say relate to conflict within the ranks of the Nomad gang.
The incidents occurred in Levin and Foxton in June during the lead-up to a tangi for late gang leader Dennis Hines.
Mr Hines founded the gang in Horowhenua and police say his death caused rifts between members.
Police say in the first assault, a 35-year-old man was injured by a group of men in Levin.
There were three other altercations in the following days, with one leaving a relative of Mr Hines with shotgun wounds on 11 June, the day of the tangi.
A house in Levin was later burgled and set on fire.
Police on Wednesday arrested seven men, aged 19 to 42 years, and charged them with a variety of offences, including injuring with intent.
