An entertainer charged with indecently assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Wellington has had his case transferred to Auckland.
There are indications he will plead guilty to a lesser charge when his case is heard.
A fresh charge of doing an indecent act with intent to offend has been laid against the man, who has interim name suppression.
It is a less serious charge than the indecent assault charge he was originally facing.
Both matters were transferred to Auckland District Court after the man's lawyer indicated that his client would plead guilty to the new charge.
There has also been an indication the original indecent assault charge will be withdrawn if the man pleads guilty to the fresh charge.
