Four people are due to appear in court on Tuesday over a burglary that was foiled when a quick-thinking neighbour blocked the burglars' getaway.
An 18-year-old, a 20-year-old and a 21-year-old will appear in Hamilton District Court, and a 14-year-old will appear in the Youth Court.
Police say a Sager Road address in Whatawhata was being robbed when a neighbour blocked the driveway after he noticed suspicious activity.
Police have praised the neighbour, who saw a shotgun in the burglars' car, threw it into long grass and then rang police.
The four burglars gave themselves up after armed police cordoned off the property.
