A Dunedin woman has become the 15th person to die in New Zealand from swine flu.

The Ministry of Health says the 30-year-old had no underlying medical conditions and died on Sunday.

The ministry says the number of people going to the doctor with flu continues to fall, providing further indication that the swine flu pandemic is abating.

There are 20 people in hospital with swine flu or its complications, 11 of whom are in intensive care and nine in general wards.
