Pacific Blue Airlines will make its first flight trans-Tasman flight from Hamilton on Tuesday.
The airline announced its new services in June, replacing Air New Zealand which pulled its international service out of the city earlier this year.
Pacific Blue will fly six services to Australia each week - three to Sydney and three to Brisbane.
The airline's Boeing 737-800 aircraft will make its inaugural flight to Sydney in the morning.
