12:06 pm on 12 September 2009

Funerals will be held on Saturday afternoon for two women whose bodies were found buried beneath a house in Christchurch.

The bodies of Tisha Lowry, 28, and Rebecca Somerville, 35, were discovered below the floodboards at the house in Wainoni Road on 4 August.

Ms Lowry's funeral will be a private ceremony in Christchurch - nearly a year after she vanished.

Ms Somerville's funeral will be held in Taupo.

Her husband, Jason Somerville, 33, is charged with murdering both women.

He appeared again in the Christchurch District Court on Friday and was remanded in custody until 12 November.

The couple have three children who had been in the care of Child Youth and Family for some time. The Somervilles moved from Taupo three years ago.
