The man accused of an arson attack on the Prime Minister's electorate office has dropped his bid for name suppression.

Daniel Vale, 31, from Henderson reappeared at the Waitakere District Court on Monday on two charges of intentional damage.

One of the charges relates to a small blaze at John Key's Kumeu office early on Thursday morning.

The fire started when a bottle filled with flammable liquid was thrown at an office window, causing minor damage.

Mr Vale dropped an application for continued interim name suppression, and will apply for bail later this week.
