The death toll from a car crash in Christchurch last night has risen to three.
The police say the victims, a three-year-old girl and two women in their sixties, were tourists from the United Kingdom.
The driver, a man in his sixties, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is in Christchurch Hospital.
Their car hit a power pole on Estuary Road in New Brighton at about 6.20pm. The police believe fatigue was a factor in the collision.
