The retail price of petrol has fallen again.
Shell and BP have lowered their prices for 91 and 95 octane to $1.54.9 and $1.61.9 per litre respectively.
Both companies reduced their prices on Saturday. The price of diesel, however, remains unchanged at 99.9c per litre.
The reduction at the pump will be largely offset by a fuel excise duty increase of 3c a litre that comes into force on Thursday.
Gull also dropped its retail petrol prices by 4c a litre on Monday.
